Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds fresh asparagus spears
2 – 3 cloves garlic, sliced thinly
3 tablespoons olive oil
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Cut off and discard woody bases from asparagus. Place asparagus and garlic in ample baking pan, 15x10x1 works good. Spread oil evenly and sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper. Toss to coat.
Roast for 12 to 15 minutes or until asparagus is crispy tender, stir once halfway through roasting. Serve up just out of the oven.
